Gamay is a natural cross of Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc which probably originated in Burgundy (FR) where it was first registered in 1395. In Switzerland, an ancient biotype of it known as Plant Robert is located in Lavaux. Gamay is characterized by light wines with notes of red cherry, strawberry and peony for the most refined.

In Switzerland, we have found historical traces of Pinot noir in the canton of Vaud dating back to 1472 It is the most common noble grape variety in Switzerland. Appreciated all over the world, pleasant and delicate on the palate, it offers aromas of strawberries, cherries and vanilla spices when it is aged in oak barrels.
